The HRW Advent CalendarA little treat every day

Merry Christmas to everyone...
To cheer everyone up and give all our members something to do, we've created an advent calendar for you all.
A nugget of history each day and some with free downloads.
We've included a few recipes as a sample from our forthcoming recipe book, which is a collection of the food you've seen us cook and eat in our interpretations. Something we've been asked for at every event and we thought it was time to oblige. To the Calendar
We are a small, nationally based interpretation group, covering the Tudor and Stuart periods, specialising in domestic life. What we do best is take an historic house and allow you to experience history in the place it was made.

"The poetry of history lies in the quasi-miraculous fact that once, on this earth, on this familiar spot of ground, walked other men and women, as actual as we are today..."

We are a small but nationally based interpretation group, covering Tudor and Stuart domestic life. Founded in 1992, we have been recreating historic families and communities in first person, with associated 'Red T' guides, to give visitors of historic houses a rounded, educational and memorable visit.

History Re-enactment Workshop. Registered Charity Nº 1040799
We specialise in turning an old house into a home, bringing a Tudor or Stuart family to life, to fully interact with your visitors.
We can also offer a range of variations around the same period, depending on what you have available.
We are always keen for new people to come and join us. As we recreate domestic life, we're open to all ages. No previous experience or in depth knowledge is required. The 'Workshop' in our title is all about training our members.
